Little Cypress Junior High Choir teacher, Stephanie Teague, received word this week that one of her students, Rachel Belcher, was chosen as “Outstanding Soloist” by the adjudicator who heard her perform.

Hundreds of students compete annually in the Texas Music Educators Association Solo and Ensemble Contest and each of the twelve judges select one boy and one girl as the students whose performances stood out among all of the rest that were heard that day.

Rachel’s parents are Michelle and Pat Belcher.
