Members of the Little Cypress Intermediate fifth grade choir got a chance to visit some of the attractions in downtown Orange recently. Besides trips to the Stark Museum of Art and Lutcher Theater, the students visited historical First Presbyterian Church, which was the first air-conditioned building west of the Mississippi.

Their director, Marcia Perrine, played the church’s pipe organ for them and then allowed them each a chance to play the instrument for a short time.

The students ended their excursion with a picnic in Stark Park.
