Wal Mart shoppers in Kemah were placed on lock down inside the store Saturday, after police received reports of a suspicious man with a knife in the parking lot. The man was first spotted in a nearby Target parking lot, then later in the parking lot of the Wal Mart store in the 200 block of FM 518.

Customers and employees were said to be trapped inside the store for more than three hours before police took the man into custody.

Several unknown devices were located in the pockets of the suspect, and also attached to his person, according to Kemah police. Upon arrival to the store, police found the suspect's vehicle unoccupied and waited for him to return. When the man returned to the vehicle, officers made contact, and took him into custody.
