The Orange Police Department responded to a one vehicle traffic accident around 2 p.m., Sunday, in the 11000 block of FM 1130. According to Capt. W. K. Longlois, officers found that a white Ford truck had left the roadway, flipped, and then struck a telephone pole. The driver was thrown from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the accident scene by Judge Derry Dunn.

The driver was identified as 56 year old Vickie Lynn Coburn of Orange, Texas.

Evidence suggests that the driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Agencies assisting with the investigation were the Orange Fire Department, Acadian EMS, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
