Please join The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce in congratulating Officer Timothy Reeves and Officer Jesse Byrd on receiving the Chambers Employee of the Month Award. Officers Reeves and Byrd were presented their awards by Dave Derosier at the June 10 Monthly Networking Coffee hosted by the Bridge City Public Library located at 101 Parkside Drive, Bridge City.

These fine officers do a great job for Bridge City and recently went above and beyond the call of duty for a Bridge City resident.

A young girl by the name of Paris woke up to find her bicycle, which was her birthday present, had been stolen. Officers Reeves and Byrd responded to the call as part of their normal duties and took down all the necessary information. These outstanding officers decided to pool their personal funds and replace the stolen bicycle. This is only one of many reasons the Chamber chose to honor these outstanding Bridge City Police Officers.

Officers Reeves and Byrd received a plaque sponsored by David Self Ford along with gifts donated from the following local chamber members: Bridge City Bank, Peggy’s on the Bayou, Total Impressions Salon, Dupuis Tire and Service Center, Geaux Mail, The Record Newspaper, Dairy Queen, Five Point Credit Union, Complete Staffing, Tiger Rock Martial Arts and David Self Ford.
