Last updated 9/15/2014 at Noon

The National Hurricane Center has lowered the chances of the system in the eastern Gulf of Mexico to develop into a tropical cyclone to 10 % over the next few days. This system is expected to move rapidly westward and move into Texas by late Monday or early Tuesday. The only local impacts will be increased rain chances, especially along and south of the I-10 corridor. Rain chances increase across the entire region by the middle of next week.
