Hurricane season to end quietly

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles reports this weekend will begin a warming trend and next week will see temperatures run above normal, with lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s. There will be a small chance for showers each day next week.

The end of the 2014 hurricane season will be quiet, with no tropical activity expected in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, or Atlantic.
