The Mauriceville Elementary Student Council held a “Dip Into Spring” dip contest for faculty and staff. Teachers could enter in one of three categories - Chip Dip, Veggie Dip, or Fruit Dip.

The Student Council provided the chips, veggies, and fruit. Each Official Dip judge had the difficult task of tasting all of the entries in each category. According to Student Council sponsor Mary Kay Berndt, “The judges must have had a really hard time deciding because I watched them go back for second and even third tastes before choosing the winners.” Each winner received a special gift basket provided by Student Council.

The winners of the “Dip Into Spring” contest were: Fruit Dip, Cindy Childress; Chip Dip, Amanda Moyer and Veggie Dip, Cindy Reynolds

The judges were Aaron Buke, Chris Lee, Buffy Knight and Carie Broussard.
