Orville W. “Beaux” Nimitz, Jr., 85, of Orange, died Saturday, March 21, at The Meadows in Orange.

Born in Orange July 30, 1929, he was the son of Orville W. Nimitz, Sr. and Frankie (Gott) Nimitz. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had worked as an iron worker.

Beaux is survived by his daughter, Debbie Freidell and her husband, Steve of Lawrence, Kansas; son, Jerry Nimitz and his wife, Kim of Medford, Oklahoma; Tim Nimitz of Caldwell, Kansas; daughter, Kathy Elrod and her husband, Ed of Arkansas City, Kansas; son, Steve Nimitz and his wife, Tina and sister, Shirly Guice and her husband, Walter, all of Orange; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. At Beaux’s request, no services will be held.
