BC fishing team strings up big win

Trey Lee, Senior and Randy Underwood, Junior from the Bridge City High School Bass Fishing Team won big at the SETX High School Fishing Tournament this weekend held at Umphrey Pavilion on Lake Sam Rayburn.

Trey and Randy brought four keepers to the scales weighing in at 16.96 pounds. They knew this was a good bag of fish. They had that one kicker fish that everyone needs, it was a lunker going 7.55 lbs but would it be enough? The boys were competing against over 350 teams from all over Texas. It was a long ride in the hot seat but turns out it would be enough to get them that "W"

The boys proudly brought home Bridge City's first winning trophy. Trey has been fishing with the team for two years and this is Randy's first year. Both boys are avid sportsmen and enjoy the outdoors. This couldn't have happened to two better kids. They work hard, never miss a meeting or event and are two of the most well mannered and polite young men you will meet.

Trey and Randy both put in many volunteer hours for the Orange Chamber and the Bass Masters Elite Tournament over Spring Break. Maybe some of that time spent with the pros paid off! We are so proud of you Randy and Trey. Congratulations!
