Kristen Blanke named OHS Valedictorian

The 2015 Valedictorian for Orangefield High School is Kristen Blanke. Kristen is the daughter of orangefield .

Blanke is ranked first out of 136, with a 4.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Her clubs and organizations include: President of the National Honor Society; Vice President of the Texas Association of Future Educators; Class President; participates in volleyball and track and UIL accounting and computer applications.

Blanke's awards and honors are: National Merit Scholarship semi-finalist (finalist status determined in February); Texas Bluebonnet Girls’ State; Rotary Youth Leadership Awards; Accounting UIL state qualifier; Scholastic All-District athlete and Cross Country regional qualifier.

Community Service: Volunteer lifeguard at the Great Escape Camp at Southwind; Volunteer at First Presbyterian Church Vacation Bible School and Trunk or Treat and Volunteer at Christmas in Orangefield.

Blanke's future plans include attending Texas A&M Univeristy to study business.
