St. Mary Catholic School students recently participated in the “Drawn to Life: Audubon’s Legacy”. Many students that participated in this event was chosen to display their art work at the Orange Stark Museum.

This exhibition explores how John James Audubon changed the way we see nature. Drawn to Life reveals how the artist accomplished monumental projects in portraying North America’s birds and animals in lifelike poses and in their natural habitats. The exhibition features the Stark Museum of Art’s extensive collection of Audubon’s art including pastels, engravings, lithographs, printed books, and manuscripts.

The artistic portrayal of the natural world is a theme that weaves through the Stark Museum of Art’s special exhibitions from late 2014 through 2015.
