Brianna Verdine of Starks was recently diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia. FA is a rare genetic disorder that progressively deteriorates the spine and muscles, including the heart.

Due to the worsening curve of Brianna's spine (now at 45 degrees), there are more trips being made to The Children's Hospital in New Orleans, to try to correct or slow down the progress of the disease.

Brianna's parents are not financially stable and the cost of renting a reliable car and lodging costs, the financial burden is more than they can bear.
