It will be tax time for the Orange County Commissioners Court when they meet at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 17 in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Orange County Administration Building, 123 South 6th St. in Orange.

The commissioners will discuss and possibly act upon the proposed Tax Rate for the fiscal year 2015-2016, which is the Tax Year for 2015.

Also, commissioners will deliberate setting the dates and times for the two public hearings on the 2015-2016 fiscal year Proposed Tax Rate.

Commissioners will decide upon declaring certain substance abuse treatment services to be professional services within the scope of the Texas Local Government Code. The services are provided to probationers supervised by the Orange County Community Supervision and Corrections Department.

Approval of income levels is on the agenda for the Orange County Indigent Health Care Program effective Sept. 1, 2015 through Aug. 31, 2016.

Jennifer Haney, social services director, is requesting an income level of 49 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. The income level for the past five years has been 49 percent.

Commissioners will discuss and decide upon authorizing the purchase and installation of security cameras for the airport. This is a 2015 RAMP Grant eligible item. This is a budgeted item.
