Master Gardeners to hold business meeting

The September meeting of the Orange County Master Gardeners Association has been changed to be on Monday, Sept. 14, instead of the usual second Thursday of the month, only for this month.

Social time and a pot luck supper will start at 6:00 pm, with the meeting from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

This month will be a business meeting and we will show the members how to log into the online system for reporting their volunteer hours.

We will be discussing the finalization of the upcoming Master Gardener training also.

Master Gardeners to offer certification course

The Orange County Master Gardeners Association and the Orange County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Office will be presenting a course to become a certified Master Gardener beginning Sept. 29.

Classes will be held each Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 - 8:30 pm in the AgriLife office, 11475 FM 1442, Orangefield (Orange County EXPO Center).

Three sessions will be held on Saturday 10-3, 10-17 and 11-7.

Cost for the complete course is $100.

Registration deadline is September 18.

If you are interested in becoming a certified Master Gardener, please contact Ashlee Krebs, CEA A/NR at 882-7010 to obtain more information about the classes or if you are interested in just taking a few of the sessions to gain more horticultural knowledge.
