OC commissioners to address HR matters at meeting

The Orange County Commissioners Court will consider some Human Resource agenda issues at the meeting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8 in the commissioners' courtroom of the Orange County Administration Building, 123 South 6th Street.
Commissioners will discuss and clarify intent of commissioners court for spousal insurance coverage. Also related to employee benefits up for discussion is the implementation of sick time policy for exempt employees, sick time buy back program, longevity pay and vacation.
They will also consider a renewal agreement between the county and Member's Building Maintenance, LTD for bulk janitorial services from Sept. 30, 2015 through Oct. 1, 2016.
September 7-13, 2015 will be proclaimed as National Suicide Prevention Week.
The court will deliberate on changing the county switchboard to an automated system.
Another proclamation recognizes September 2015 as Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Awareness month.
The court will deliberate on authorizing county offices to close for their county recognition celebration.
