Cooler weather on the horizon

Last updated 9/17/2015 at Noon

The National Weather Service is expecting dry, but warm weather Friday through the weekend, with lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s, and highs in the low to mid 90s. A cold front will move through on Monday, but it only brings a low chance for rain with it, but it will lower the temperatures next week to the near normal category of 60s for the lows and 80s for the highs.

In the tropics, a trough of low pressure on the west coast of Florida will move east and end up in the Atlantic this weekend and next week. The National Hurricane Center does give this system a low chance to develop into a tropical cyclone off the southeastern US coast this weekend and early next week. The two systems further out in the Atlantic (tropical depression 9 and invest 95) are not expected to be a threat to the USA.
