The Orange County Commissioners' Court will consider the implementation date, either calendar year or fiscal year, of the cafeteria plan on 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2015in the Commissioners’ Courtroom of the Orange County Administration Building, 123 South 6th Street in Orange.

Commissioners will also deliberate on the following agenda issues:

Commissioners court issuing a resolution for Orange County’s Indigent Defense Grant Program for 2016.

Under the provisions of the Texas Government Code Section 79.037 and Texas Administrative Code Chapter 173, counties are eligible to receive grants from the Texas Indigent Defense Commission to provide improvements in indigent defense services in the county. The county judge will be the authorized official to apply for, accept, decline, modify, or cancel the grant application and all other necessary documents to accept said grant. The county auditor is designated as the financial officer for this grant.

Enter into a lease for real property with the Orangefield Water Supply Corporation. The purpose of the lease shall be to construct and maintain an elevated water storage tank and water well on the site. The action shall include the authorization of the county engineer to work with the county attorney’s office and other officials as necessary to negotiate such terms and conditions as are necessary for the benefit of the parties. Furthermore, the action should authorize the county judge to execute all instruments necessary to effectuate purpose of the contemplated action as the case may be.

The approval and acceptance of the renewal contract, Interlocal Cooperation Act Contract Renewal, between Orange County and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for specialized care and other medical treatment, if needed, for the participants of the Orange County Indigent Health Care Program. The term of the contract shall be from September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016.

To approve the appointees for the Orange County Historical Commission Board as per listing which will be filed for record in the Orange County Clerk’s Office.
