Bridge City Intermediate students participate in the inaugural Meet in the Middle event. The event involves typically developing students and students with intellectual disabilities to participate side by side in service learning projects, athletic training and competition, and smaller-scale independent projects.

Bridge City Intermediate had its first "Meet in the Middle" event.

Meet in the Middle involves typically developing students and students with intellectual disabilities to participate side by side in service learning projects, athletic training and competition, and smaller-scale independent projects.

This program provides opportunities for the students to experience and develop lifelong skills and friendships that will enable them to be productive citizens. The activities provided are related to academic, fitness, sports and wellness related goals. It provides participants with the opportunity to develop social and communication skills that will benefit then in their everyday life, including the world of work.
