The First Baptist Church of Mauriceville is offering an alternative for trick or treaters.

The church is hosting their annual Harvest Hayday/Fall Festival from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 31 at FBC Mauriceville, 11540 Highway 12.

This year there will be carnival games, music, food, candy, balloon animals, face painting, a car show and more.

The public is invited.

Nova Strickland, organizer and church members, said this event has something for everyone.

"This is not only for kids. We have something for adults. We have a car show and three groups of singers," she said. "People look for our shows. They come from Louisiana, Vidor, because we have such a good turnout. We hold it in the afternoon to reach more people. We do it mainly for outreach."

Strickland said there will also be a fish pond for children gifts given to them.
