The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is monitoring the weather forecast for Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected during the day on Saturday, and could linger into the evening hours. Some of these storms could be severe, with damaging winds or isolated tornadoes. Between 1 to 3 inches of rain will be possible. Also, with a strong southerly wind, tides will run above normal, and we could see minor coastal flooding during high tides on Saturday.
