Father’s Day turned tragic for a West Orange family today, when 21 year old Michael Wuske drowned in Newton County. Sheriff’s deputies were called about 7:00 in reference to a missing man in the Sabine River.

Deputies arrived around 8:45, and found that Wuske was deceased.

Wuske reportedly dove off the Hwy. 12 bridge, into the river, which was about a 25 foot jump. The water was only about 6 feet deep at that location and Wuske hit his head and drowned.
