JoAnn Taylor Hanks, 79, of Pinehurst, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Sanders of Orangefield United Pentecostal Church. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at West Hamilton Cemetery in Patroon. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Born in Hemphill, Sept. 27, 1936, JoAnn was the daughter of Claud Spencer and Verdie Lee (Monroe) Taylor. She was a member of Orangefield United Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hanks; son, James Allen Kingrey and grandchildren, Leslie Kingrey, Jamie Kingrey, Christopher Kingrey and Timothy Kingrey.

JoAnn is survived by her son, Hershel Kingrey; step-daughter, Debbie Ellis; grandchildren, Sarah Kingrey, Gary Nelms, Stacy Kingrey, and Joanna Kingrey and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Claude Taylor and wife Lynda Sue and Buford Taylor and sisters, Thelma Taylor Huff, Lucy Taylor, Patricia Taylor, and Linda Taylor Bergeron.
