Tuesday January 19, at approximately 6:20 AM, an Orange County Sheriff’s Office Employee was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 62 near Cohenour Rd. in Orange County. Jarrod Seago, a Corrections Officer at the Orange County Correctional Facility had just gotten off of work and was heading home when the crash occurred.

Officer Seago sustained multiple injuries in the crash and was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. The extent of Officer Seago’s injuries is not known at this time.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
