On March 21, at about 3:00 pm, Pinehurst Officer Jocelyn Trussell, along with other Pinehurst Police Department personnel, conducted an investigation at 3512 Pheasant St. During the course of the investigation, a firearm and drug paraphernalia was seized. A 35 year old white male identified as Joseph Damon Gorney, who lists a Vidor, address was arrested for several unrelated warrants issued by Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Judge Simonton.

The case is related to ongoing methamphetamine distribution cases being investigated by Orange County Precinct 2 Constable David Cagle and the Pinehurst Police Department. The investigation is in progress and additional charges are pending. The joint operation is an example of local police agencies working together to help achieve common goals in combatting the distribution of illegal drugs.
