Bill H. Swope, Sr., 87, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017. He was born on August 9, 1929, to Era Rasco Swope and John Hugh Swope, in Beaumont. Bill was known as “Mr. Howdy Howdy” and worked at Frito-Lay for thirty-three years.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Swope; son, Bill Swope, Jr. (Robin) of Corpus Christi; daughters, Cindy Kingston (Gordon) of Nederland and Debbie Hanson (Mark) of Lumberton; grandchildren, Curtis Kingston, Brian Kingston, Katie Kessler, John Swope, Jillian Hanson, Grant Hanson; and three great-grandchildren.

A gathering of Mr. Swope’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m. with his service to follow at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Roxie, Regina, and Claudette for the special care they gave to Bill during his illness.
