Beaumont, Texas-Barclay Stockett is one of the newest up and coming “American Ninja Warrior” (ANW) Sensations. She recently competed on team ‘Iron Grip’ on “Team Ninja Warrior” and qualified in the top 30 for the city finals in San Antonio last month. Stockett will be joining Lauren Froderman in making an appearance at the 4th annual National Dance Day in Southeast Texas, July 29 at the Beaumont Civic Center, 701 Main.

Froderman is the winner of season 7 of “So You Think You Can Dance” (SYTYCD). She came to National Dance Day last year and was a phenomenal guest and teacher. She is returning this year as the event moves indoors and over to Beaumont.

The main event is 9 a.m.-noon and is free to the public. The Civic Center will be cleared for lunch and ticketed events of dance classes and a meet in greet with Froderman and Stockett are scheduled for the afternoon.

The main event is a celebration of dance with performances by area dance groups, lots of line dancing and audience participation, plus the official 2017 National Dance Day choreography. It is sort of a recital/dance party.

After lunch, come back for a beginner (1:30pm-2:30pm) or advanced (2:45pm-3:45pm) contemporary dance class with Lauren Froderman. Classes are $60, increasing to $75 after July 23. Ticket price includes the meet and greet following at 4 p.m. with Froderman and Stockett. There will be a Q & A session plus a photo opportunity. Those wishing to observe the dance classes must purchase a meet and greet ticket for $25 or $35 after July 23. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.
