On April 15, Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Bands attended the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Concert and Sight-reading Contest, at Nederland High School. The Symphonic Band, directed by Steve Schoppert, received first division ratings in both the Concert and Sight-reading portions of competition. 

The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Kevin Stone, director of bands for LCM, also earned first division ratings on both portions of the contest.

These ratings, along with the first division ratings earned at UIL Marching Contest earlier in the year, earned them the Regional 4A Varsity Sweepstakes trophy for the 31st year.
