    A traffic crash involving a Little-Cypress Mauriceville school bus occurred Monday, Jan. 14 at approximately 4:07 p.m. The crash occurred in the 9200 block of State Highway 12 in Mauriceville. According to the investigating Trooper, the Little-Cypress Mauriceville school bus was stopped in the westbound lane of State Highway 12 when the bus was struck from the rear by a 2007 Toyota Corolla. At the time of the crash, the school bus driver had activated the flashing stop lights and was preparing to unload school children....

    United States Attorney John M. Bales recently announced a Beaumont man has pled guilty to federal carjacking charges in the Eastern District of Texas. Rogelio Arellano Torres, 19, of Beaumont, Texas, admitted to charges he car jacked a woman last year during a hearing before United States Judge Marcia Crone today in Beaumont. Torres had been indicted on July 11, 2012 and charged with carjacking in a one count indictment.     Texans titling a vehicle in the state and first-time registrants will soon have to show identification, enhancing public safety and paving the way for more customer-friendly automation.
