I vaguely recall Sam Rayburn reaching its highest level back in the early 90’s, but passed on the opportunity to see what the lake looked like when holding that much water. Last week, however, I ran the lake northward on Hwy. 96, crossed the 147 bridge and returned on the east side of the lake. It was shocking and they have gotten even more rain since then.
