Robert L. Dorsey, 91, of Port Arthur, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 27, at Summer Place in Beaumont. He was born Jan. 2, 1922, to William and Mary Foreman Dorsey. Bob was in the Coast Guard during World War II and served on a mine sweeper in the Pacific. He returned from the war and married the love of his life, Myrline Boudreaux. He retired from Gulf Oil in 1978, as an insulator after 38 years. Bob had many nicknames, such as, “Rapid Robert,” but was affectionately known by his grandkids as “Popeye.” He loved h...
