UPDATE A body found in the Neches River near the Rainbow Bridge Monday, was identified Tuesday in a joint investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office the Vidor Police Department, according to a news release. Christopher Reich, 35, of Vidor, was reported missing on Jan. 14, the news release stated. The cause of death was drowning, according to autopsy results. Jimmy Reaves, 57, of Vidor died Saturday, Feb. 1, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Huntsville, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Orangefield High School students competed in the TCEA Area 5 Robotics Competition on Jan. 25. Sixty teams composed of 225 students participated in four different robotics competitions.
