Ernest Lee Brown, age 56 of Vidor, passed away in Orange, Thursday, April 28. A gathering of family and friends to honor Ernest's life was held on May 1. Ernest was born in Pensacola, Fla., Jan. 12, 1960 to the late Acy Lee Brown and Miriam Ann Malagarie. He had worked for many years as a carpenter and roofer in the Orange county area. The City of Orange has begun picking up damaged debris as of Monday, April 4, in areas within the city where homes were affected by the recent Sabine River flooding. This service will continue to run for an additional 30 days to give citizens in the City of Orange who were affected by rising water more than a single opportunity to have damaged materials and debris removed.
