The 2nd Annual Swamp Pop Blow Out will be held March 14, beginning at 6:30 pm, at the VFW Hall, Hwy. 87 in Orange. Tickets are $20 and are available at Swam Pop Sounds, 2003 MacArthur Dr., Orange, from Feb. 23 - 27 and March 2-6. The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department will offer hunter education safety classes Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 12 from 6:30 until 9:30 pm in Orangefield. Hunters must attend both classes. Certification is required if the student is 17 years old and was born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, to hunt in Texas. Hunters can become certified at the age of nine years old.
