Montana DiLeo and Neely Wozniak played as medalist in the Vidor Pirate Varsity Girl's Invitational at Brentwood Country Club. The rain and cold limited the tournament to nine holes as conditions worsened throughout the morning. Dileo fired a 32 to take 1st place while Wozniak finished with a solid 36 to take 3rd place. The Lady Bears will be back in team play next Friday and Saturday at the Regional Preview in Huntsville....

Pinehurst Police Chief Fred R. Hanauer III announced that he would be retiring from the Pinehurst Police Department. Hanauer has been with Pinehurst since 2003 when he accepted an investigator position. Hanauer was appointed as interim chief in October of 2008 and was later appointed as chief of police in April of 2009. After a brief time off Hanauer will be accepting a position as a special investigator with the State of Texas and will continue helping others but in a civilian capacity. Little Cypress-Mauriceville schools will all go virtual on Monday and Tuesday, February 15 and 16.
