The Bridge City Public Library has just received a gift of 100 new children’s books, ranging from pre-kindergarten through early readers. These books were a donation from the Brownstone Book Fund, a private foundation in New York City, interested in fostering early reading, a love of books and encouraging parents and children to read together. Lula Mae “Hebert” Schexnider, 88, of Bridge City, TX passed away February 24, 2018 in Beaumont, TX. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Commonground Church in Bridge City, TX. She donated her body to the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Engineering students traveled to the Beaumont Event Centre for Junior Achievement's Engineering Job Shadow Lunch.
