Thursday, March 5, around 12:20 a.m., the Orange County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of Coleman St., just outside the city limits of Vidor. During the search of the residence, Deputies located 32 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, a few illegally possessed prescription drugs, and an illegally modified .22 caliber rifle. The 15th Annual Kiwanis Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, March 28. The four-person scramble tournament will be held at the Sunset Grove Country Club in Orange, with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. The fee is $300 per team and tee sign sponsorships are available for $100. A sports memorabilia auction is also being held in conjunction with the tournament. Friday, March 6, all of the kindergarten students at Orangefield Elementary concluded their study on Texas by all participating in "Rodeo Day".
