Tuesday, March 8, Detectives with the Orange Police Department along with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop along Interstate 10 service road in the area of Adams Bayou and MLK in Orange. Officers observed a black Dodge Charger, bearing Louisiana license plates, fail to maintain a single marked lane. Alice Irene Thomason Theriot, 97, passed to eternal life March 9. She was born April 7, 1918 in Brayden, Ok., to Alta Mae Gibson Thomason and Walter James Thomason. Her father died three months before her birth in the Influenza Epidemic of 1918. Alice and her family moved to Fort Smith, Ar., where she lived until the age of nine when she moved to Port Arthur.
