    Lamar Institute of Technology will have an orientation for new students from 9:00 a.m. to noon on June 11. The session will be at the Multi-Purpose center at 802 E. Lavaca.     Beginning in Fall 2014, Lamar Institute of Technology will add an Associate of Arts degree to the more than 50 degree and certificate programs already offered. This degree will serve as a foundation for a Bachelor of Arts degree in other colleges and universities in Texas.
