    The state’s third ranked Bridge City Cardinals will face fifth ranked the Huffman-Hargrave Falcons in a best-of-three series in the Region III quarterfinal round of the state baseball playoffs this week. Game One of the series starts Wednesday, May 14, at Nederland High School baseball field located on Spurlock Rd. Game Two will be played at San Jacinto on Friday.     On April 25 and 26, the Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School cheerleaders competed with other cheer squads from Orange County in a lamb dressing competition for a chance to win $1000 each night at the Orange County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo.     The formal American flag raising ceremony began mid-morning last Saturday at 10 a.m. It took place at the beautiful Claybar’s Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery, located at 2312 Irving Street in West Orange.     Bridge City will be hosting a Girls and Little Girls Basketball Camp June 9 – 12, 2014 (Monday – Thursday). Incoming grades 4 through 9 will be held at the High School Competition Gymnasium. The Little Girls Camp will be held at the elementary. Incoming grades 4-6 will be 1-2:50 p.m.; Grades 7-9 will be 3-5 p.m. at the high school.     Jackie Hernandez, 22, of Orange, said as a small child she was afraid to go to public places because she thought Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents would take her from her family and deport her.
