Texas A&M University has named its honor students for the spring semester, recognizing them for outstanding academic performance. The Dean's Honor Roll recognizes students taking at least 15 semester hours during the spring semester who have maintained a 3.75 or higher grade point (GPR) out of a possible 4.0. Lamar State College-Orange and the Golden Triangle Emergency Center have entered into an Affiliation Agreement that will greatly benefit students in the LSC-O Vocational Nursing Program. For the second time in the past three years, the Lamar University softball team won the Red Cup, given to the Lamar sports team that logged the most community-service hours over the course of the academic calendar.
