Middle School students at St. Mary Catholic School gathered under the school’s flagpole in front of the school for the annual See You at the Pole. Orangefield Junior High Students gathered bright and early Wednesday morning for “See you at the Pole“, an annual gathering of Christian students. Students of all ages gather at a flagpole in front of their local school for prayer, scripture-reading and hymn-singing, during the early morning before school starts. The OHS Student Council members organized a blood drive Wednesday, Sept. 26. The Bobcats donated approximately 65 units of blood to LifeShare Blood Center. Students who donate blood at least five times during their high school years will receive honor cords to wear at graduation. Physics students in Mr. Gilson’s class at Orangefield High School conducted a lab in their physics class to determine the maximum height an alcohol based rocket could achieve. The students used a stop watch to calculate the hang time, then used that time to calculate the height of the rocket. Orangefield High School choir students auditioned for the TMEA all-region choir on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Nederland High School.
