    Lamar University honored eight students with the Plummer Award, recognizing them as the top male and female graduates in Lamar’s December 2015 graduating class.     Orangefield's 7th Grade and 8th Grade Boys Basketball teams competed in the Port Neches-Groves Middle School Basketball Tournament over the weekend. Both teams were faced with a challenging opponent in the first round as they took on the Canines of Central Middle School.     The South East Texas Foster Grandparent Program is celebrating their 25th annual recognitions, Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 11 am-1 pm, at the Holiday Inn on Walden Rd. in Beaumont. They will be giving service pins for 25, 15, 10 and five years of service, as well as recognizing the volunteer of the year.
