The girls tennis team from Bridge City High School are the 22-4A district champs. Waverlee Cooper continued to dominate in the girls singles division. She captured the gold medal by defeating Silsbee in the finals 6-3;6-2. We are proud to announce the results of our 2019 Tiger Rock Martial Arts National Championships. This event was hosted in Galveston, TX on March 15th and 16th. Team Bridge City had a great showing of 49 competitors! Our team brought home 44 gold, 26 silver, and 22 bronze medals! On 03-23-2019 at 10:07 pm, a call was received by the Orange Police Department in regards to a gunshot victim at 6th and Rein St. Upon the arrival of officers at 10:08 pm, a 24 year old black male resident of Orange was found to be suffering from two gunshot wounds. The Orange Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance responded to the scene. Acadian Ambulance transported the victim to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where his condition is unknown at this time. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of 18 month old Raydyn Jones of Mauriceville. The child was brought to Baptist Hospital Orange Monday, March 18, 2019 at approximately 2:55 p.m. by the 32 year old mother who stated she found him unresponsive.
