The Orange County Historical Society will have its third quarterly meeting featuring a talk by Sherrill Porterfield on Tuesday, August 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the educational building of the 9th and Elm Church of Christ. The Southeast Texas Hospice will hold its annual Memorial Service on Thursday, July 21 at 2:00 pm in St. Mary's Parish Hall located at 912 W. Cherry Ave. in Orange. Orange police early Friday morning arrested a 16-year-old boy for manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of 22-year-old Javien Bilbo inside a house on Cypress Avenue.
