Planning Committee Recommendations Announced Feb. 28 at LC-M Admin Building

The Planning and Visioning Committee that has examined Little Cypress-Mauriceville’s facilities for the past four months will make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 5:30 p.m. in the board room of the LCM Administration Building.

Sixty community members, recruited from both the Mauriceville and Little Cypress communities, have participated in the process, spending approximately forty volunteer hours each considering the needs of each campus, and prioritizing them according to greatest need. The committee will recommend a bond election to address classrooms which are too small; air conditioning units that are past repair; and other campus-specific conditions. Their recommendation will include plans to for new construction or renovation throughout the district.
