Don Fields Retires as City Manager

Don Fields hs retired as City Manager of the City of Bridge City. Fields was hired as City Manager in 1998 and retired Feb. 29.

A reception was held at city hall on that afternoon and co-workers, friends and family attended to show appreciation for the job Fields has done as City Manager and to wish him a happy retirement.

Mayor Kirk Roccaforte presented Fields with a plaque from the city to commemorate his ten years of service.

Fields plans to "just take it easy for a while and enjoy retirement."

Former Public Works Director Jerry Jones has replaced Fields as City Manager.
