Starlight' Women's Summit

The Women’s Department of Starlight Church of God in Christ is hosting its Annual Women’s Summit, April 10^th -13^th. The Summit is a combination of powershops for Singles, Married Women, Teens(13-18) and Health and Wealth Seminars.

The theme for the Summit is “Harvest”. There will be several powershops offered such as “The First Fruit of the Harvest”, “Don’t Come Out Empty Handed”, “Little Foxes That Destroy the Vine”, and many more.

Evangelist Josie Lindsey, Director of Women Ministries at Starlight, ensures that there are seminars to empower and motivate women in their daily lives. This year, April Allen, R.N., will present a seminar on “Obesity, Exercise, and Diabetes”. A Wells Fargo Bank Representative will speak on “Financial Freedom”. Both of these seminars will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. – noon. Dr. Dionne Oliver will present “Women Health Issues” on Friday night from 7:00-7:50 p.m.

On Saturday, April 12^th, the day will begin with a continental breakfast and will continue with praise, worship, and powershops. The speaker for the noon luncheon is Evangelist Claudine Collins. The weekend will conclude with service at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The Guest Speakers are very extraordinary women in ministry. Supervisor Vanessa Gatlin is the speaker Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. and Friday night at 8 p.m.

Evangelist Vanessa Gatlin is the First Lady of the First Church of God in Christ, Crowley, La and Unity Church of God in Christ, Eunice, La. She serves as Director of Women and Music Ministries. She has served as a District Missionary and Jurisdictional President.

Evangelist Claudine Collins is a licensed Evangelist Missionary in the Church of God in Christ. She is a seminar, conference, and revival speaker. Evangelist Collins is a member of the Wheatley Church of God in Christ in Fort Worth, Texas. She is the founder and CEO of Women Are Royalty Ministries.

Early registration for the Women’s Summit (on or before March 1^st) is $25.00 which includes a workshop, materials, continental breakfast, and a lunch on Saturday.
