All-American senior cheerleader Brittany James signs scholarship agreement

Bridge City Cardinal All-American senior cheerleader, Brittany James, signed an athletic scholarship agreement for the 2008-2009 academic year in the intercollegiate sport of cheerleading with Blinn Junior College in Brenham, Tx.

Brittany had to attend several tryouts to make it to the final cut in April, news of the scholarship came later,  There were several requirements and Brittany had all the right stuff.

Each candidate for a position on the team is require d to demonstrate many tumbling and cheerleading skills.

She believes the level 5 full twisting layout was the tumbling trick that got her the scholarship.

Brittany has been a cheerleader since she was 5 years old and has been tumbling for 10 years.

She has been involved in sports throughout her school career up until the last year of high school, when she tore her ACL. The injury ended Brittany’s participation in Volleyball, Basketball, and track.

When the doctor released her from treatment, Brittany started retraining and spending hours at the gym and at Full FX getting ready for the Cheerleader tryouts.

He has been there for me as an athlete and a mentor; thanks for all the time you gave.”
