Walgreens lays foundation in Bridge City

The Walgreen’s drugstore chain will bring about 20 jobs to Bridge City when it opens a location on the corner of Texas 87 and Roundbunch Road in the fall. 

The building will be about 14,800 square feet and offer a drive-through pharmacy service. Other services include touch-tone options for patients to enter their prescription number and request a time for a refill. Customers may arrange for automated refills and receive e-mail reminders regarding refills.

The photo department will offer one-hour processing, passport photos and digital photo services. Customers can share photos with family and friends across the country when they upload digital pictures from their home computer for pick-up at any Walgreen’s nationwide. The cosmetics department features exclusive beauty lines and full-time beauty advisors.
